Hi! I'm Amanda. Most of my days are spent homeschooling kiddos, wrangling goats, collecting eggs and general farm duties on our small farmstead, while my nights and the moments in between are filled with the creative. After bringing home a sewing machine in 2008 and whipping up a ridiculous number of aprons, I made my first quilt and was immediately hooked.
Quilting has become an outlet that grounds me. The process of choosing colors and fabrics and the steady hum of the machine while chain piecing are so satisfying. I love every bit of it! In recent years, designing has become more of an interest. Both in patterns and original designed quilts for show, I love the challenge of taking a sketch and making it reality.
I'm currently serving as the VP of Programming for the Austin Modern Quilt Guild as well as a team leader for my local chapter of Days for Girls.
